When people ask about the top sights to see in the south
Florida area including Fort Lauderdale and Miami, I always
advise them to try and make some time to go down to the Florida
Keys. The Florida Keys are the string of islands just south of
the Florida mainland and runs 120 miles from end to end. Fort
Lauderdale and Miami are fun but for a relaxing change of pace,
the Florida Keys is the place to be. For snorkellers and scuba
divers going to south Florida, I would consider Florida Keys ...Read more...

My travelling companions and I left Perth in a depleted convoy of my campervan and one car, heading north along the coast to the Pinnacles. Anyone see Billy Connolly doing his naturist dance around them in his Tour of Australia TV series? Not quite so funny in real life (Billy not being there at the time) but spectacular none the less. We reached Monkey Mia in time for yet another amazing sunset over the Indian Ocean. It's got to the stage where I'm becoming complacent about sunsets / ...Read more...

Often rated as probably the best place in N. America to take your children on a skiing holiday. Smugglers' has an array of activities and entertainment options for the kids with some very friendly beginner slopes. The instructors at Smugglers' have also been specially trained to deal with young learners, so this really is a fantastic place. However, what makes this such a popular choice is that in accommodating for little one, Mums and Dads have not been forgotten and there are also lots of ...Read more...
Believe it or not, Mount Everest has a long history with Wales, even taking its name from the Victorian geographer, Sir George Everest, who was born Brecknockshire (now Powys). With its strong Welsh connections it's no wonder that many Cymrics are lining up to trek Everest.
Sir George Everest may never have even set foot on the mountain, let alone attempted the Everest base camp trek, but yet he was granted the honour of having the world's highest mountain named after him. This came about as ...Read more...
The Thailand hotel As I sit here waiting for news, I look out of my hotel window at the Bangkok skyline. A mist settles in the distance as a red sun starts to set between each hazy cloud. Tall modern buildings spread before me, the occasional glimpse of a bird, a plane and then the sky train-Thailand's mass transit comforts me as if to say at least someone is there, thinking, working to find my brother who has not been heard of in six months. To one side of the view I think I can make out a ...Read more...
